NE Healthcare is looking for a part-time Travel Nurse. Our Nurses will visit multiple
clients to administer medication, check blood sugar levels, wound care, etc. This
job is perfect for nursing students who want to gain experience and balance work
with school.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the practice of professional nursing
in accordance with the State Nurse Practical Act and standards for home nursing
• Performs comprehensive assessments of client status, including physical,
psychosocial, and environmental parameters
• Develops and/or follows an individualized Plan of Care that incorporates analysis of
data and current specific findings.
• Reports changed and information necessary to modify and update the care plan to
reflect progress towards goals. Reports significant changes in client status to
physician and other members of the team in a timely manner.
• Treatments and medication administrations
• Home Health Aide assignments and supervision of Aides and LPN's.
• Follows agency guidelines for competition of documentation, reflecting orders and
care plan. Submits documents weekly including all communication and
coordination.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety/infection control practices by complying with
established policies and procedures. Demonstrates safe practice in the use of
equipment. Notifies supervisor of need for additional information related to
equipment, procedures, and safety/inspection practices.
• Supervises applicable home care team members as delegated
• Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Current License as a registered nurse in the state
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in home health or equivalent
experience
• Complies with accepted professional standards of practice
• Current CPR certification.
