ABOUT THE UNIT & HOSPITAL:

Advocate Christ Medical Center is our multiple Magnet designated, trauma I, teaching hospital servicing the South and Southwest Chicagoland suburbs.  Providing 89 specialties throughout the 802-bed facility, our cardiology program is a standout with its national ranking for leading edge, cardiac surgeries.  Named as one of America’s 250 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades, this is a career opportunity to consider.

  • Lead the 24-bed Recovery Unit and Overnight Observation Unit, which cares for peds to geriatric populations.  
  • Oversight of the Heart Institute’s APNs.
  • Case Volumes: 15-16K/annually.
  • Manager is supported by two ACMs.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE: 

  • Planning, management, implementation, and evaluation of operations/services to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Preparation and administration of budgets to ensure adequate personnel, facilities, and supplies.
  • Responsible for the selection, development, motivation, and evaluation of staff.
  • Maintenance of effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Responsible for personal and professional growth and development.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master’s Degree any field OR Bachelor’s Degree any field with a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) require
  2. RN Licensure in State of Illinois.
  3. Strong organization, planning and delegation skills.
  4. 2 years of previous management experience focused pre/post-surgical/anesthesia care
  5. 2 years of previous critical clinical experience in a hospital setting
  6. Organizational, planning & delegation skills
  7. Team Building skills -Communication skills
  8. Demonstrates leadership attributes -Results oriented with concern for appropriate process.

**Compensation is based on applicable years of experience: Mid-Pt $125,008.00 plus Annual Incentive Plan. Relocation package available.
